Although superstition held that women aboard a ship were bad luck, piracy hasn't only been a man's game. History has seen many women take to the high seas in search of plunder or revenge, some of whom remained in disguise to blend in with the men and others who unabashedly set sail, wreaked havoc, and made quite a name for themselves. Some of the most notable pirate women include Mary Read, Anne Bonny, and Grace O'Malley. This bar is dedicated with love to the Daughters of Grace O'Malley, who still roam the streets of Mobile today. Sláinte, ladies!
