About the Bar
The Jersey Devil, also known as the Leeds Devil, is a legend that dates back to the 1700s in, you guessed it, New Jersey. A local woman named "Mother Leeds" was pregnant with her 13th child. Distraught about being pregnant yet again, she cursed the child, saying it would be the devil. When the baby was born, it developed horns, a goat-like face, hooves, clawed hands, bat-like wings, and a forked tail. It walked on two legs like a kangaroo and emitted a blood-curdling scream. It attacked the family and flew away into the night. To this day, it is said to reside in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Jersey Devil soap features fiery swirls and a red tail on the bar face.
